You asked and we listened; the wait is over and our order window is now open. For the first two pieces in our Icon Series every detail – the weaves, buttons, colours and the all important collars – has been fastidiously analysed to re-imagine these two seminal knit shirts worn by Jude Law’s character, Dickie Greenleaf in the cult classic The Talented Mr Ripley (1999). Come away with us to the town of Anzio (for all the film fans, this was where the bustling piazza and cafe scenes were shot). Made in Milan, Italy, using a fine 100% Merino wool, this is the closest you’ll get to the pieces you see on screen.
For those of you who know SFC already, the fit of the Ripley Anzio knit is the similar to our usual core range of knit shirt. It has a standard fit that wears well with mid to higher rise trousers – please review our size chart below for more information and please allow a tolerance for the knit fabric.
It’s important remember when reviewing the sizechart (below) that knitwear is a garment that has stretch and movement in the weave. There’s no need to scrutinise every number on the chart, as you may normally do with a fixed/rigid fabric, such as cotton shirting. When measuring pieces, please understand the nature of the knit material and where possible we aim to take EXACT dimensions, a degree of tolerance must be considered with the stretch etc. Order for your chest size.
See our Order Terms for more information. Please contact us if you have any questions, we are here and happy to help.
No need to tuck the shirt too, with a straight hem, the length of the Ripley Anzio is ideal when worn relaxed over shorts or trousers. Why not pair it with a pair of our higher waisted trousers or shorts.
Made in Milan, Italy.
