When we say this is limited fabric we really mean it. Wrapped carefully and stored for the last 50+ years, this cloth is a taste of the golden-era of Italian tailoring.
Most of the fabrics come in 2.75 metre lengths, with the exception of a few which have a little more to them.
We have enough to make a selection of pieces in each fabric:
- 1 x pair of trousers (chosen from all our models)
- 1 x Boccia waistcoat
Please select from the stock options below and contact if you have any queries about the fabrics and their availability.
Somewhere in the bay of Naples between the late 1950s and 1960s the luxury and lure of ready-to-wear was starting to take off and tailoring wasn't really having as much of a draw for people. The Boccia family, having ran a successful fabric shop and tailoring atelier decided to take the decision to carefully take down their rare and widely-sourced fabrics from the narrow shelves of the tailoring rooms, still folded over the original boards, they were carefully wrapped in brown paper and secured with twine. All these fabrics were moved into a low-ceilinged stone store room in the back of the shop for 50+ years - only surfacing now for us.
