Backstory

In Chinese culture, lucky coins worn on a necklace are believed to bring good fortune to the wearer. Beautifully hand-crafted in northern England, the Lucky Coin necklace is influenced by Scott's Hong Kong upbringing and pays respect to the Feng Shui coins he saw growing up

Working with close friend and stone artist, Paul Vanstone, we have created figurative stone pendants to accompany the Lucky Coins on their travels

Style notes

Scott's dad was passionate about integrating Feng Shui into his family's home growing up. He spent a lot of time in Chinese temples and visiting antique stores and these little lucky coins were always present. The shape of the coin symbolises the unity between the earth and the sky - the square cut in the centre symbolising the earth and the rounded exterior symbolising the sky. The symbols located around the edge of the coin are special to SFC - marking founding themes such as travel, community and identity
